Our Story
In 2013, several Clark County teachers had a vision to launch a scholarship fund to benefit our local Clark County students. Three teachers, Cinda Redman, Elena Vozheiko-Wheaton, and Linda Appert, began annual donations of their own funds in memoriam of their mothers, to benefit our students. The association wanted to get involved, donating their own time, talents, energy, and financial resources, to support the initial funds, as well as give our community an opportunity to donate. And thus the Teachers Benefit Concert was born.

Since it's inception, the MTACC has donated $15,250 towards 20 students who have pursued their musical goals and dreams at the collegiate level.

Mckenna Cobb
2023 Scholarship Winner
Mackenna Cobb, vocalist and student of Linda Appert, 2023 Mt. View High School graduate, received the top prize of $1,500. This award was presented in honor of the Chelcy B Wadell Memorial scholarship in addition to general MTACC chapter funds. Mackenna will be continuing her voice studies as a Vocal Performance major at Whitman College this Fall 2023.
